"Ballet and Beyond"

Festival Ballet will present it’s Classics to Contemporary series entitled “Ballet and Beyond” February 16, with performances at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. at The Montgomery College Theater.  

"Ballet and Beyond" is a mid season repertoire concert featuring an eclectic mix of classical and contemporary ballet, jazz and modern dance works. The performance will feature classical works like Sylvia, and Tarantella. A special treat will be the original contemporary work choreographed for Festival Ballet by Houston Ballet principal dancer Tim O’Keefe. Special Guests are Sam Houston State University Dance Department directed by Dana Nicole and Cindy Gratz. 

Festival Ballet opens the show in true classical tradition with Sylvia, moves into artistry of Anochecer, and closes with the rousing Tarantella.
