A studio that cares about children first, making dance exciting, fun, and educational, taught by caring teachers who are skilled in technique and patience using a philosophy based on building self esteem and life lessons that last long after dance training has ended.

The Academy is recognized as a leader in classical dance education and performing opportunities in the Greater Houston area, and is the home of Festival Ballet of Greater Houston.

The Academy’s advanced students have been accepted into most major ballet workshops and schools in North America, including the School of American Ballet,  North Carolina School of The Arts, Orlando Ballet, Boston Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Joffery Ballet, Ballet Austin Academy, and Milwaukee Ballet.

The school is open to both career orientated students as well as those who wish to study for the pure enjoyment of the art form. Whether preparing students for professional careers or simply enriching their lives by instilling self-discipline, poise and an appreciation for the arts, studying at The Academy is a rewarding experience.

We offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Musical Theater. The curriculum is designed to provide beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers with a solid foundation in technique. The ballet curriculum is based on the Russian Vaganova method.

The Vaganova method, acknowledged the world over as the foremost training syllabus, is known for its Artistic clarity, use of the upper body, and for the development of a strong center for adagio and allegro work. The Academy also has staff members who are highly trained in other dance curriculum such as the Royal Academy of Dancing and Cecchetti methods. We feel the strong foundation provided by the Vaganova method plus the influences provided by the other styles ensures a well developed dancer with a competitive edge.

The Academy offers Master Classes throughout the year as well as Summer Intensive Workshops, and Dance Camps for our younger dancers. Classes are offered in our spacious studio, equipped with  "fully-floating" sub-floors covered with a professional no-slip dance surface. High ceilings make it possible to offer Pas De Deux classes, and two levels of ballet barres accommodate young children and adults.

The Academy offers a professional teaching staff, with qualifications ranging from Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Dance, to international  teaching and performing experience. Our faculty is comprised of accomplished ballet, jazz, and tap professionals, whose extensive training has included dance technique, dance theory, dance history, dance education, choreography,  anatomy  and kinesiology,  as  well as theater production. The positive family atmosphere that we provide, will benefit your child's dance education.

Our Philosophy is simple: At every class our goals are to give the best instruction possible to every student, help each one reach their full potential, and help each student appreciate the art of dance.
